Research Interests
Research areas include (1) research on psychological support in the industrial field, (2) research on life career resilience, (3) research on community support, and (4) research on psychotherapy.
These research areas are developing in an interrelated manner. Japanese clinical psychology has developed in line with the West, but in recent years, approaches such as mindfulness, which have their roots in Eastern philosophies such as Buddhism and Zen, have been attracting academic attention. In addition to clarifying once again the original meaning of psychological support in clinical psychology, I would like to examine the value of the ideas and knowledge nurtured in Asian cultures, and consider the development of clinical psychology from this standpoint.
